The Museum of Technology operates in the buildings of the old Water Purification Plant of Helsinki. The Rapid Filtration Plant or Filtteri is open to the public during warmer weather.
The Rapid Filtration Plant was completed in 1909. The building houses museumized sand filters that have been used for drinking water treatment. The building has been restored to its original appearance.
The Rapid Filtration Plant is open during the warmer seasons. Admission is included in the entrance ticket to The Museum of Technology.
