Learn how to repair old houses with love and care at Toivo, or get to know how Finns lived in the 1950s' at the Korsman family home.

 

Building Heritage House Toivo is a restoration centre of the Satakunta Museum. The Toivo House presents traditional ways of building and restoring timber houses.

The home of the Korsman family (two rooms and a kitchen) represents living conditions in 1951 in a typical timber house in Pori. At Korsmans there are hands-on exhibits. The activites are directed especially to day-care centers and schools and the museum is open mostly by appointment.
