Exhibition tour guided in Aanaar Sámi livđe

During the guided tour, you will hear livđe, the vocal music tradition of Aanaar Sámi. No interpretation in English.The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes.

Anna Morottaja is an Aanaar Sámi musician living in Inari, who performs livđes, joiks, and sings. The Aanaar Sámi, a community of fewer than a thousand people, have their own musical tradition called livđe, which differs from the better-known Northern Sámi joik. In livđe, the goal is to create a vocal portrait of for example a person or an animal with an emphasis on the use of voice rather than a narrative story.

The guided tour is included in the museum's admission fee: €7–10, free for under 18s. Museum Card, Kaiku Card, and cultural vouchers (Epassi, SmartumPay, and Edenred Virike card) are also accepted as payment.
