Celebrate Baltic Sea Day at Chappe!

How is the Baltic Sea doing – and what can we do to help protect it?

Join us at Chappe on Wednesday, 27 August, for an inspiring afternoon dedicated to the sea that connects us all. As part of the official Baltic Sea Day programme, we are delighted to welcome Patrik Rosström, Vice Chair of the diving association Piraya rf, who will share how the association is working to create a cleaner and healthier Baltic Sea.

In 2025, Piraya rf received the City of Raseborg Sustainability Award in recognition of its long-term efforts to remove litter from the seabed and shorelines, while also inspiring younger generations through environmental education and sustainable development. During the talk, you'll learn about the association's work, the current environmental challenges facing the Baltic Sea, and how volunteer action can make a real difference.

The afternoon continues with a guided tour of Chappe's current exhibition, Enchanted by Klovharun, where the Baltic Sea and the archipelago take centre stage.

Program

2.00 PM – Lecture by Patrik Rosström (in Swedish) at the Raseborg Museum Lounge. Free admission. Duration: approximately 45 minutes.

3.00 PM – Guided tour in Swedish of Enchanted by Klovharun

3.30 PM – Guided tour in Finnish

The lecture is free of charge and no pre-registration is required. The guided tour is included in the Chappe admission ticket (€15/€10). Free admission for visitors under 18 and Museum Card holders.
