Marvel at the exhibits of Galleri Elverket in enchanting Tammisaari. The exhibits at the old electrical center feature modern and contemporary pieces.
Gallery Elverket produces two to three exhibitions per year showcasing modern and contemporary art from different collections and by inviting artists to hold exhibitions. Gallery Elverket is part of the Pro Artibus Foundation.
The Pro Artibus Foundation’s collection consists of more than 1300 artworks. The majority of the works are modern and contemporary art by Finnish-Swedish artists. The oldest works date back to the start of the 20th century, as the collection is based on the art that the Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland began acquiring in 1957. The collection is constantly being augmented with contemporary art.
