Åland Maritime Museum
Hamngatan 2,
22100 Maarianhamina
Living history about mankind and the sea.
Our all-new galleries explore Åland's maritime heritage in eight thematic sections. You can learn about the world's last sailing ship fleet, marvel at the exotic souvenirs that Åland sailors brought home (not least a rare 18th century pirate flag) and be amazed at the intricate detailing of our many model ships.
There's also plenty to do: at family-friendly interactive stations you can clamber up the main mast of a square-rigger, test your knot making skills or sing in the karaoke bar of a passenger ferry.
