Museum Steamship Cruises 2026

The world’s last original wood-framed steamship Mikko keeps on going powered by a steam engine and metre long birch logs. The heating of the steam engine starts on the day before. Public cruises are operated during the summer and autumn. The long cruise season ends with an autumn colours cruise in early October. The cruise schedule will be updated during the spring.

The 112-year-old steamship Mikko is owned by Riihisaari – Savonlinna Museum / The City of Savonlinna.

CRUISE INFORMATION

Point of departure and return: Riihisaari pier behind the museum

Route: on the waters of Lake Pihlajavesi archipelago
Duration: approx. 1.5 hours

TICKETS

– 35 € / adult
– 20 € / children (7–17 years old), pensioners, students and unemployed
– Children under 7 years old for free

Please note! The Museum Card is not valid as a payment method on the cruises.

Tickets are sold on board one hour before departure, and in advance at the Riihisaari museum customer service.
