The anniversary exhibition of Theatre Hevosenkenkä and KAMU Espoo City Museum invites you to step into a fairy tale and to discover the story of Espoo's first professional theatre.
The anniversary exhibition of Theatre Hevosenkenkä and KAMU Espoo City Museum opens its doors at the Glims Farmstead Museum 2.4.2025 – 1.3.2026. The exhibition invites you to step into a fairy tale and to discover the story of Espoo's first professional theatre.
The visitor can enter the world of the play “Beauty and the Beast”. The classic fairy tale is situated in a Magic Museum. The play had its premiere at Hevosenkenkä in 2018, and it was directed by Kirsi Siren and staged by Mimmi Resman. The puppets were designed and made by Fanni Lieto.
The exhibition also presents the rich and varied history of theatre through video interviews, photographs and artefacts. The museum’s own puppet history is also on display.
The exhibition is a great place to visit for kindergarten and primary school groups, educators, families and anyone interested in theatre, puppetry and the cultural history of Espoo.
