Nokturno’s Experimental Open Mic “Night & Dreams”

We encourage you to bring texts linked to the night and dreams, but performances can also address other subjects. Video works and works from Nokturno’s archives made using digital means will be shown as interactive elements in the background to the open mic.

The maximum duration of performances is 6 minutes, so that as many people as possible can take part in the open mic during the evening. While the main emphasis is on experimental poetry and literature, works combining music and sound or other interdisciplinary performances are also welcome! The language of the event is Finnish, but you are free to perform in other languages.

Registration on the spot at the Museum’s ticket office or in advance: toimitus@nokturno.fi.
If you have a proposal for a performance longer than six minutes, feel free to contact us by e-mail!
The evening will be opened by the event’s poets and producers Emma Kurvi and Kirsi-Marja Moberg.

Nokturno is a website and an extensive archive of publications, showcasing digital and experimental literature, especially poetry. The works published in Nokturno’s online environment have been made using digital means, and span the interfaces between different artforms. A diverse range of new forms of performance, both Finnish and international, have been shown on Nokturno. Nokturno is part of Nihil Interit ry’s work.
