Artist talk: Karim Boumjimar

Join artist Karim Boumjimar for a conversation about his exhibition Rites of Affection. Please note that the event will be held in English.

The event will take place in Kumma at Malva, where participants will gather to follow a live remote discussion with Boumjimar. The artist will join the event online, and the conversation will be streamed onto a large screen for the audience to watch together.

Rites on Affection is a solo exhibition by Karim Boumjimar (b. 1998, Spain), featuring ceramic sculptures and large-scale drawings. The works are powerful and imbued with ritualistic and sensual energy. The exhibition also includes a poetic video work that premiered at Malva.

During the artist talk, Boumjimar will discuss the background of the exhibition, his artworks, and his artistic practice. The conversation will also feature Kukka Pitkänen, curator of the exhibition. Audience will have the opportunity to ask questions during the event.

No advance registration is required. Participation is included with museum admission or a Museum Card. Free admission for visitors under 18.
