Theatre Museum
Kaapelitehdas,
Tallberginkatu 1 G,
00180 Helsinki
Closed 30.11.2020-9.2.2021. Theatre Museum’s exhibitions transport visitors into the theatre and backstage to see and experience what performance and theatre are all about.
A visit to the Theatre Museum offers you a combination of knowledge, inspiration, joy and entertainment. What is a performance made of? What does a costume designer do? What is performing after all? These and several other questions are answered in Theatre Museum. On display are costumes, scale models and props – get a feel for the theatre at close quarters. As a visitor, you get to test your skills in the experimental exhibitions – try out the stages, the wardrobes, and other types of theatre gear. Our museum is located at the Cable Factory in Helsinki. The themes of the temporary exhibitions complement the permanent exhibitions.
