Pori Art Museum

The Pori Art Museum is a relevant and influential contemporary art museum that believes in the social significance of art. Its changing exhibitions showcase phenomenons in international and Finnish art, offering audiences unique experiences. The base collection of the art museum is Maire Gullichsen Art Foundation Collection, whose works are presented as part of the museum’s exhibition program.

Pori Art Museum is situated in the centre of the town by the river Kokemäki; it resides in an old ware- and weighhouse originally built for the use of the customs. The museum building is part of Kivi-Pori, a historically significant complex of Neo-Renaissance-style waterfront blocks in Pori dating from the 19th century.

The art museum’s customer service desk and museum shop are located in the lobby. The customer service desk also serves as the official tourist information point, which is being developed in collaboration with Visit Pori. A self-service café is located next to the lobby. Visitors can spend time in the café working remotely or holding informal meetings. The Art Museum’s facilities are accessible.

The Pori Art Museum is a Welcome Cyclist destination and is located along good cycling routes. The Bothnian Sea Experience Route and the River Route pass by the art museum building on the southern shore.
In front of the art museum’s main entrance, there are free charging stations for electric bikes with secure parking. More secure bike racks are located opposite the art museum.
